2. High school science teacher


Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching science courses to high school students, developing engaging and educational lesson plans, and assessing student performance. We are looking for someone who can inspire students and promote a love of science.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver a science curriculum that aligns with school standards.
- Prepare lesson plans and educational materials that facilitate active learning.
- Assess and record students’ progress and provide grades and feedback.
- Maintain a tidy and orderly classroom.
- Collaborate with other teachers, staff, and administration.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science or related field (advanced degrees preferred).
- Teaching certification for high school level.
- Proven experience as a science teacher.
- Strong understanding of science curriculum and standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Requirements for Teaching Positions:
University/College Degree
Professional Teacher Qualification/Certification (B Ed. M Ed. PGDE Teaching Certification/License)

Preferred Skills and Experience:
At least two years relevant experience in an International School setting
Practical experience with US Common Core and CA DOE Next Generation Science Standards
Practical experience with “STEM” (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) programs
Demonstrated use of technology in teaching practice
Demonstrated commitment to leading co-curricular activities
A positive, caring, collaborative team player
